Set up and ran for seven years a recruitment consultancy, specialising in Equity Research (covering Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Oil and Gas, Telecoms, Technology and other sectors) and Fixed Income Research for both investment banks and asset managers, Investment Banking, Sales and Trading. Several years’ previous experience of recruiting for other divisions within investment banks (such as Operations, Finance and IT), insurance sector and for the accountancy profession.
Nine plus years experience of overseeing the implementation and smooth running of various internship and other graduate programmes for disabled students/ graduates with top graduate recruiters, including Goldman Sachs Internship Programme, UBS Internship Programme, Morgan Stanley Internship Programme, Lehman Brothers Internship Scheme, The Merrill Lynch Internship Programme, Barclays Bank Summer Internship Scheme, The Dow Chemical Internship Programme, Enterprise rent-a-car Graduate Programmes, The Ernst & Young Summer Internship Programme, The Mayer Brown Work Experience Programme, Civil Service Summer Placement Scheme and many others. Also oversaw the smooth running of a mentoring scheme at Procter and Gamble, and BP
Has attended, observed and provided advice on disability adjustments at various assessment centres and interview days including UBS, Goldman Sachs, Civil Service Fast Stream, FSA. Formulated and oversaw the smooth running of an assessment centre for the Lehman Internship for disabled candidates in 2006.
A highly experienced trainer, with strong experience of producing, writing and delivering Disability Awareness Training to a variety of staff of different levels (senior and line managers, HR staff, recruiters/ assessors/ interviewers, mentors/buddies etc.) in various different sectors/ industries.
Experience of running and overseeing high profile disability specific specialist events. Responsible for overseeing the planning, marketing and smooth running of InvestAbility 2007 – a two day event (involving 9 investment banks and 97 student/ graduate and 20 careers officer delegates), run in conjunction with nine top global investment banks.
