Disability or Illness can happen to anyone at any point of time, and can hamper one’s daily life and routine if left with no proper moral and financial support . It can be a great roadblock to students in pursuing their education, making it almost impossible to rise up to the expectations of a highly competitive academic world.
Organisations like ‘Employability’ do an incredible job in making sure they offer the right guidance & support to renew the lives of disabled or chronically ill students; they advise and support disabled students not only to find internships and graduate roles, but also through their work on programmes like the Google Scholarship, they provide guidance on securing financial support to further their students academic life and reach their goals.
I am so grateful to EmployAbility & Google Europe Scholarship for supporting me during the exceptional health crisis period in my PhD life, where I was terribly sick with multiple illnesses on top of my age old chronic illness. The EmployAbility team took due consideration of my poor health and other unfortunate circumstances that aggravated my sickness prolonging my studies, and offered full support and help with the application. I was awarded the scholarship which will now give me ample time to complete my thesis. This would not have been possible if not for the timely intervention and support from EmployAbility and kind contribution from Google. I’m very much honoured and thankful to this initiative. I wish the organisation all the very best and hope that you continue to serve many differently abled youngsters to achieve their dreams!
