EmployAbility is delighted to be working with JP Morgan to offer disabled students and graduates the opportunity to apply for the J.P. Morgan EmployAbility Internship programme.

J.P. Morgan is a global leader in financial services, offering solutions to the world's most important corporations, governments and institutions in more than 100 countries. The Firm and its Foundation give approximately US$200 million annually to nonprofit organizations around the world. We also lead volunteer service activities for employees in local communities by utilizing our many resources, including those that stem from access to capital, economies of scale, global reach and expertise.

For thousands of these clients worldwide, we are continually innovating and creating new solutions, and in turn, helping them discover new opportunities and achieve growth. Having such a complete package is what helps us deliver industry-leading service, and considering the constantly changing global financial landscape, a career within Investor Services is a chance for you to work in one of the fastest growing and dynamic parts of our firm.

What you can expect from our summer internship

Set yourself up for a career creating incredible partnerships and client relationships, solving problems that help businesses grow, and building your skills and reputation.

The Summer Analyst Program runs for ten weeks from June to August. The program starts with a week of intense training provided by J.P. Morgan employees and external providers. These sessions will bring you up to speed on our history, the scale and scope of our organization today and our ambitious plans for tomorrow. Plus we’ll arm you with the technical and practical knowledge you’ll need to make your mark in our business. Following this, you’ll work in one of the most dynamic and innovative parts of our firm, helping our largest clients around the world, including asset managers, hedge funds and broker dealers enhance and transform their businesses. From fund accounting and securities clearing, to lending and foreign exchange, you’ll experience what makes our investor service products world leading.

On-the-job learning is only part of what we offer. As well as your manager and the team around you, you’ll have your own mentor. You’ll be invited to attend events such as our senior speaker series and upon successful completion of the program, you may have the opportunity to join us full-time after graduation.

What you need to bring

We can teach you the ins and outs of what we do. At this stage, what we’re really looking for is leadership potential – and the drive, intelligence, integrity, curiosity and people skills that come along with it.

Academics are important, but what sets successful candidates apart is their ability to balance impressive intellect with great experience, interests and ambition. You must have an expected degree minimum of a 2.1 or equivalent (results to date should clearly demonstrate that this is a realistic indication). Please check for the equivalent scores for where you’re studying.

We hire from all academic backgrounds. Whatever background, be prepared to show us how your skills and experiences can add value to our team.

I just want to take this opportunity to say thank you as well. I think its been incredibly tough for me to deal with learning that I have dyslexia and navigating what this means for me in terms of my career and it has at times really affected my confidence but I am really grateful to you and Employability because its nice to know people care about people like myself.
