Justin Penney – Senior Consultant

Justin has seventeen years experience of working in the disability sector. Whilst Justin has worked with disabled people with different disabilities to help them into employment, he specialises in the field of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and spent nine years as an employment consultant for Prospects, the National Autistic Society’s employment services arm for people with Autism / Asperger’s syndrome.

Set up & ran the Transitions Project – helping graduates with Asperger’s Syndrome to find work. The project was short listed for the Guardian Newspaper Public Service Awards in 2007.

Currently Justin works with a number of employers from different financial, legal and other sectors (including, FSA, Mayer Brown, Barclays Bank, National Audit Office, Dow Chemical and others) to help attract and integrate disabled candidates into existing internships and other vacancies.

Has extensive experience of providing support and advice to disabled candidates and their employers on reasonable adjustments and other issues.

Produces and delivers Skills Workshops to disabled students/ graduates covering a range of topics on disability and graduate recruitment, as well as one to one advice sessions.

Possesses excellent contact with disability officers in universities both in London & nationally.

Experienced trainer and speaker – especially in the area of Disability Awareness.
