Lawyers at Mayer Brown practise in a wide range of areas including corporate, finance, litigation and dispute resolution, real estate, insurance and reinsurance, pensions and employment, competition and trade, tax, intellectual property, and information technology. Clients include many of the FTSE and Fortune 500 companies from the worlds of banking, insurance, communications, industrials, energy, construction, professional services, media, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and mining.

The London office client base is diverse and includes blue-chip corporates, multinationals, private companies, partnerships, financial institutions and intermediaries. Practice area experience is complemented by an in-depth industry focus in chosen sectors. Furthermore, a key strength of the firm is its capacity to advise companies and businesses across a range of activities, from day to day work to one-off special projects, contentious and non-contentious.

About The Work Experience Programme

Mayer Brown has joined with EmployAbility to offer you a three week work experience programme during the spring or summer which will allow you to experience working within a leading law practice while being paid a competitive salary. You will gain valuable practical experience of two of the major legal departments of your choice. In addition to working alongside a Partner or Assistant, a number of training seminars and visits are also organised as part of your programme. These could range from visiting City financial institutions to attending social events with Mayer Brown trainees.

The Work Experience Programmes take place at Easter and during the summer and are based in the London office. The Work Experience Programmes are primarily for law undergraduates in their penultimate or final year at university, non-law undergraduates in their final year and graduates from all disciplines.
