EmployAbility is the not-for-profit organisation dedicated to assisting people with all disabilities into employment. Working with anyone with a disability seeking employment and employers, we have strong links with universities, other disability charities and many other key stakeholders.

Services for People with Disabilities

Working primarily, but not exclusively with disabled university undergraduates/ graduates to ease the transition from education to employment, EmployAbility will support and advise throughout the entire recruitment process.

Our highly experienced team will provide you with key advice including:

• Offering internship and placement scheme opportunities
• Making recommendations regarding disability inclusive employers
  
• Guidance, advice and support with CV and application form writing
  
• How to perform well at interviews and assessment centres
• Information regarding reasonable adjustments
• Advice and guidance on other key disability issues such as disclosure of a disability
• Inviting candidates to attend specialist recruitment events, providing invaluable insight into specific industries and giving the opportunity to meet the key recruiters from not only the UK’s leading companies, but those who work on a global scale
  

Services for Universities

EmployAbility provides services to universities, including on-site presentations informing students about our services as well as joint presentations with employers, one-to-one drop in sessions for students and other specialist events and projects.

Services for Employers

EmployAbility offers a range of tailored consultancy services to employers, aimed at creating a more diverse and inclusive working environment. Our experienced and highly professional team is dedicated to changing hearts and minds in the disability and employment arena. We are passionate about the work we do and will liaise closely with you in order to establish the specific needs of your particular organisation.

The services we provide include:

• Promoting an organisation as a disability inclusive employer
  
• Setting up and managing internship programmes/placement schemes, and helping to attract and fully integrate disabled applicants into existing programmes/ schemes
• Setting up and managing mentoring programmes for disabled people
• Disability Awareness Training
  
• Providing a tailor made consultancy service on issues relating to disability and employment, specific to the needs of each organisation
