The Mayer Brown EmployAbility Work Experience Programme for students/ graduates with disabilitiesMayer Brown is a leading international law practice with over 600 partners and 1500 lawyers worldwide. It serves its international clients from 14 offices located in major business centres around the world. The London office comprises approximately 100 Partners, over 300 lawyers and a total staff of almost 650. Many of its lawyers are acknowledged as leaders in their particular fields. The practice advises on a wide range of matters often incorporating international elements. Furthermore, its international network ensures that Mayer Brown is well placed to undertake multi-party and multi-jurisdictional transactions. Mayer Brown has joined with EmployAbility, the not for profit organisation dedicated to assisting disabled students/ graduates into employment. We are pleased to offer you a three week summer work experience programme (choice of two dates) which will allow you to experience working within a leading law practice while being paid a competitive salary. You will gain valuable practical experience of two of the major legal departments of your choice. In addition to working alongside a Partner or Assistant, a number of training seminars and visits are also organised as part of your programme. These could range from visiting City financial institutions to attending social events with Mayer Brown trainees. What do you need to apply? While studying law is not a pre-requisite, applications from those who have a strong commitment to pursuing a career in law and proven academic ability are particularly welcome. Law students should apply in their penultimate or final year at university and non-law students in their final year.
