Morgan Stanley Sales and Trading Division

The Internship      

The 10-week Summer Analyst Programme is an opportunity to experience the culture and atmosphere of Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Equity and Fixed Income & Commodities Divisions by taking on the responsibilities and functions of a Full-Time Analyst. During the Programme, candidates will undergo three rotations, each lasting three weeks across: Fixed Income, Commodities and Institutional Equity. Summer Analysts will experience a range of roles such as sales, trading, structuring and research. Throughout the summer, Analysts will experience presentation projects and regular evaluation and feedback.

The Training Programme

The Programme begins in June with one week of intensive classroom training. This will include an introduction to Morgan Stanley followed by division specific training. Summer Analysts will rotate across various desks within Equities, Fixed Income and Commodities product areas, and work on individual and group project assignments. There will be a senior management speaker series, assigned mentors and buddy support, as well as networking events.

• Shadow experienced Morgan Stanley employees to gain a broader understanding of the different functions of the desk.

Qualifications/Skills/Requirements

• All degree disciplines accepted, but applicants must have a keen interest in the financial markets.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

• Thrive under pressure and in ever-changing situations.
