About the Work Placement Programme

The Work Placement Programme runs for either a 6 or 12 month period and is located in London. As a Work Placement student you are assigned to a specific team within the Technology division and will work on a wide variety of technical and business projects. Given that you are with Goldman Sachs for a longer period of time you will have the opportunity to further increase your responsibility and build strong networks.

The Work Placement Programme provides a broad based social and professional development programme. Like all others joining the firm, you will participate in a firmwide orientation session that will introduce you to the firm’s culture and business principles as well as provide you with the opportunity to network with peers from across the firm. The large part of your technical training will be acquired from the projects undertaken in your specifically assigned team. However, you will also be provided with some additional technical training courses in the early stages to complement this. During the course of your time with Goldman Sachs you will also benefit from other support and development mechanisms that they have in place, which include a structured 360° review process and a formal mentor and buddy programme.
