About Goldman Sachs

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. is a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm that provides a wide range of financial services to a substantial and diversified client base that includes corporations, financial institutions, governments and high-net-worth individuals.

About the Summer Analyst Internship Programme

This is a ten-week programme designed to fully immerse you in the day-today activities of one of Goldman Sachs' divisions. The program starts with a firmwide orientation where you’ll learn about their culture, as well as the benefits and responsibilities of being a member of Goldman Sachs. You will also receive division-specific training designed to help you succeed in your division.

After training, you will receive real responsibilities to give you a sense of what you would be doing, day to day, as a full-time Goldman Sachs employee. Along with fellow interns, you will work alongside leaders within the industry. Successful Summer Analysts may be invited back to join the New Analyst program in a full time position.

About the Internal Audit Division

The Internal Audit division assesses the firm’s internal control structure, advises management on developing control solutions, and monitors the implementation of these measures.

Working in this division means you’ll be providing reasonable assurance that financial reporting is reliable, there is compliance with applicable laws and regulations and the firm’s operations are effectively controlled.

Starting your professional career with Internal Audit will give you a unique opportunity to quickly gain experience and insight into the financial industry, its products and operations. You will also interact with and learn from some of the most respected leaders in the industry.

The best candidates will value teamwork and diversity, demonstrate strong communication skills, exhibit leadership and excellence, and possess the drive and motivation to succeed. You must possess strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills, and value teamwork and diversity.

The intern program provides students with an opportunity to learn about the different areas and functions of the Internal Audit division. As well as shadowing and assisting other employees, you will attend seminars and presentations; get involved with group projects and participate in a range of networking events.

Other Divisions

Goldman Sachs is offering Summer Analyst Internships across a variety of divisions. These are:

The Technology Division also offers a Work Placement Programme which lasts for 6 months or one year.

Previously I would never have considered applying for a job within a big investment bank due to my disability but via EmployAbility I feel better informed about what I can do and that employers cannot discriminate in the way I thought.
