Cisco is actively seeking candidates for the Associate Systems Engineering (ASE) role as part of its next generation sales trainee programme.

CSAP recruits university graduates that have a desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Strong candidates possess great interpersonal and communication skills and are driven to succeed in sales. There are openings for Associate Sales Representatives and Associate Systems Engineers.

The Role: Associate Systems Engineer (ASE)

The Cisco Sales Associates Programme (CSAP) is one of the most highly coveted early in career training programmes designed specifically for future field Account Managers and Systems Engineers. Cisco hires new Associates at training hubs around the world and provide them with a world-class, hands-on educational and experiential training programme.

As an ASE, you will participate in an extensive learning experience. During the training programme, you will be given the opportunity to expand your technical, executive presentation and consultative sales skills through virtual learning, interactive workshops, and real world experience with rotations in Cisco’s Proof of Concept Lab (CPOC), Executive Briefing Centers (EBC) and/or Technical Solution Network (TSN).

During your rotation, you will engage with Cisco’s internal sales community as well as their valued customers. You will work with their portfolio of Web 2.0 applications and develop an in-depth knowledge of Cisco’s products, advanced technologies and network architectures. You will also achieve the Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) certification.

Upon successful completion of the 11 month training period Cisco’s primary goal is to place you into their customer facing sales team as a field Systems Engineer. Cisco Systems Engineers are the technical specialists of Cisco’s sales community, they work with Cisco’s customers to ensure their technical needs are fully understood and met by Cisco’s suite of business solutions. A Systems Engineer at Cisco is responsible for designing the technical architecture of Cisco’s customer engagements and delivering results that are founded in a high level of technical expertise coupled with a strong commercial understanding of business priorities. You will get an opportunity to work with a variety of leading Cisco technologies, as well as interact with Cisco’s valued customers to become a trusted advisor adding a business and client relationship management context to your role.

 

Educational and Competency Requirements

  • Minimum BS/BA from a good university
  • Degree in Engineering, Information Technologies, Computer Sciences or Maths preferred
  • A methodical thinker with attention to detail and a strong customer delivery focus
  • Able to articulate complex technical solutions to customers and colleagues of all backgrounds and levels
  • Motivated to learn and deliver tangible results
  • Strong communication and presentation skills both written and verbal
  • Passionate about learning new technologies, ideas, and ways of working
  • Demonstrated understanding of how technology can be utilised to support business strategies
  • Ability to work under pressure and make business critical decisions with confidence
  • An active team player focused on contributing to the success the overall organisation
  • Must be fluent in English as well as the native language of the country of your application

Eligibility

To be eligible for the programme, you must:

  • Be able to live and work in the country of your application with no additional VISA sponsorship from Cisco.
