Testimonials

RC, Business Studies (Durham University)

Employability has been the best organisation I have ever had the pleasure of working with. They are highly professional in everything they do and give amazing advice during all stages of your application process.

AH, Business Management (Newcastle University)

Before meeting Employability, I found job searching extremely hard. However after talking through my strengths, weaknesses, and career plans with Tab and Justin, I felt a far greater understanding of what I wanted to do in my career, and the ways in which I could achieve it.

Disability Awareness Training, National Audit Office, July 2010

I found this course provided awareness, and was a refresher having attended it a few years ago. I felt it provided good all round advice by tailoring case scenarios, a disability quiz and Q&A session. All employees should attend this course as compulsory training to raise awareness!

Disability Awareness Training, Goldman Sachs, June 2010

[The Disability Awareness Training was] very clear and comprehensive, with useful points on taking on a disabled team member and understanding adjustments for people with disabilities.

Careers Advisor, University of Nottingham

The University of Nottingham and Employability work together to ensure that students have access to support and advocacy when they are making decisions about their careers and future professional aspirations.

RC, Geography (University of East London)

Sarah Denness was extremely helpful during the online application and interview stage of the selection process for Goldman Sachs where I was offered a Summer Internship.

AS, London School of Economics

When I applied to Goldman Sachs and UBS through EmployAbility, I was confident that I had their support behind me.

MH, Business Computing Systems (City University)

I successfully gained a place on a Summer Analyst Program at Merrill Lynch. By taking part in the internship I have realised I can cope in a fast paced environment and have found areas which I would like to explore in terms of pursuing a full time career.

NW, Sociology (London School of Economics)

I was told many times that the selection was based on merit so I now feel confident that I have the ability to work at a place like Goldman Sachs.

NW, Sociology at London School of Economics (2009)

BR, Accounting & Finance (Manchester Metropolitan)

Prior to interning at UBS I was very apprehensive that I may not be good enough or able to cope. EmployAbility staff provided reassurance and both from that and my experiences I am far more confident in my own ability.

PS, Maths & Economics at University of Nottingham

I attended an EmployAbility skills workshop where I had to present. They also helped me think about how to present myself in interviews and at assessment centres. EmployAbility helped me gain a place on the Barclay Summer Internship Programme, and I have now been offered a graduate job at Barclays in the Tax division. EmployAbility are a very helpful organisation. [They] gave me a lot more confidence when applying where sometimes I doubted my ability due to dyslexia, also pushing me to do well during the internship. Keep up the good work!

RB, Physics & Philosophy (Bristol University)

It helped receiving the email updates to alert me to job opportunities. It also helped to have someone to talk to discuss things with. Justin assisted me by editing my covering letter. He also visited me [at home] to discuss the adjustments I would need for my internship at the National Audit Office (NAO). I was more confident with adjustments in place for my job at the NAO, and knowing there was someone I could call if I needed to.

AA, University College London

I regularly spoke with Sarah Denness who advised me on how to prepare for the interviews/assessment centres and encouraged me to apply as I originally wasn’t sure if I be suited. Conversations with Sarah were very useful as she assured me that they’d support me throughout the assessment process. EmployAbility arranged for me to sit the numerical/verbal tests in Barclays Wealth’s offices in London so that I could have extra time if needed. They also supported me throughout the assessment centre. [I have now been offered] a permanent job on the Private Banking Graduate Programme at Barclays Wealth. Thank you very much for your kind help and support.

AA, University College London

KJ, French (Warwick University)

I think their excellent advice and knowledge of the workplace and its demands and expectations, along with how a disability can be made to work in such an environment, played a large part in my success. A big thank you to all of the EmployAbility team for their time and help.
