BARCLAYS EMPLOYABILITY SUMMER INTERNSHIP FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES 2009

The Internship

The internship starts at the end of June and lasts for eight weeks. You will be given hundreds of insights into Barclays business, the Barclays Summer internship is one great way to spend your summer.

You’ll immerse yourself in one of seven business areas. Work alongside some of the most talented people in the industry. And pick up a huge array of practical commercial skills. In the process, you’ll find out what working for Barclays is all about and whether we – and the work you do – are right for you.

The following business areas offer Summer Internship opportunities this year: Commercial Bank, Tax, HR, UKRB Marketing & Products, Barclaycard, Retail Banking and Technology. Barclays Summer Internship Programme is designed specifically for students who are interested in gaining real-world commercial experience while developing an understanding of what it’s like to work with Barclays. Over the course of the eight-week programme, you’ll begin to understand the skills and capabilities you need to reach top positions within the group.

You won’t be joining just to make up the numbers. Barclays will expect you to make a real contribution from day one. So, alongside the valuable skills and experience you’ll gain during your time on the programme, you’ll be rewarded with competitive pay.

All necessary adjustment requirements will be made during the recruitment process and in the workplace. EmployAbility will support and advise on this and all aspects of the process.
