Diversity Milkround Fund

milkround_logo Diversity Milkround is proud to celebrate the re-launch of its student sponsorship fund championing student and corporate equality.

The Diversity Milkround Fund contributes to the
best diversity events at UK universities, with more than £3,000 already donated to events including Surrey 's Mental Health Week and Sheffield 's International Week.

Now
Durham University has received £350 for its Breast and Testicular Cancer Awareness Campaign including Information and advice on shower hangers across the residential campus. The Fund is also currently sponsoring Warwick University ’s Rock Gospel Choir and their concert tour to Barbados in January 2008. It is also very pleased to be working with Oxford University ’s Model United Nation for their Global Village events this October.

But the Fund does not want to stop there and would like to hear from more event organisers.

Diversity Milkround, part of the Milkround Online Network of graduate recruitment websites, pays five percent of all its advertising income into the fund. It then invites students to apply for a donation of up to £500 for promotional events, awareness and fund-raising activities, conferences or talks. It was to ensure diversity and equality are celebrated at universities and wants to hear from students putting on events.

Richard Chapman, Diversity Milkround Fund Coordinator, said: “The Fund is designed to support student groups organising worthwhile and fun events or activities. One excellent aspect of the fund is its flexibility; we sponsor a whole host of events covering the unlimited spectrum of true diversity. We are also delighted to be joined by our Fund partners PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Merrill Lynch and Accenture who have given further weight to our excellent (ad)venture!”

Students and Universities planning an event that may qualify for funding from the Diversity Milkround Fund should
visit www.diversitymilkround.com or call 020 3003 4070 for more details and to apply.

entereprise_logo

EmployAbility in partnership with Enterprise is pleased to bring you brand new internship and graduate opportunities.

There are two graduate trainee programmes on offer at Enterprise:

Financial Controller Management Trainee

Comprehensive learning opportunities, rapid progression and outstanding earning potential. They’re just some of the things we offer ambitious finance graduates on our Financial Controller Management Training Scheme.

The scheme is open to two kinds of people. On the one hand, we’re looking for recent graduates, ideally with accounting or finance degrees. But we’re also after people who have worked in accounting for a few years, and would like to expand their existing financial skill-set while enjoying greater opportunities for career development.

Graduate Management Trainee: Nationwide

Starting off as a Management Trainee, you'll be assigned to a branch to learn all about the business. Within as little as eight to twelve months, you'll move up to Management Assistant, and then the next promotion is to Assistant Manager. From then on you'll also receive a percentage of the profits generated by your branch, which means you could be doubling or tripling your salary within just a few years.

Enterprise are looking for graduates who are passionate, hard working and full of initiative. There are a huge number of opportunities open to you at Enterprise - and you'll need to be the kind of person who's going to grab them with both hands.

Campus Brand Manager: Nationwide

Part Time, Permanent

As a Campus Brand Manager, you'll support recruiters and alumni teams by spreading the word about all the exciting opportunities a job with Enterprise can offer. You'll actively promote Enterprise to university staff and students, and be rewarded for your efforts. Right from the word go, you'll take on a number of interesting and challenging responsibilities. You'll be involved with all aspects of event marketing including suggesting potential venues, advertising, poster and leaflet distribution, and making important announcements.

Enterprise are looking for current university students with natural sales and persuasion skills, with the drive and initiative to shout from the rooftops about the outstanding opportunities Enterprise can offer.

Intern

Management Trainee Placement

The Enterprise Internship programme is open to first and second year university students, and gives you the opportunity to gain some valuable experience. If you make the right impression on Enterprise, then there’s a good chance you could become a permanent fixture with them once you graduate.

Taking on the same responsibilities as their management trainees, you’ll get hands-on experience from your very first day. You will be learning about sales, marketing, customer service, business management and admin support. Furthermore, since you’ll be facing the same challenges as your colleagues, you get to enjoy the same benefits too, such as performance bonuses, incentives and employee referral awards

Enterprise have a range of internship opportunities available. So whether you want to join for a placement year, during the university summer break or even part-time whilst you continue studies, they have an option to suit you.

An online application form will be live on our website shortly.  In the meantime, if you are interested in applying for any of the roles above, please submit your CV and short covering letter indicating which role you are interested in.
